Dear Extended Day Parents!
First of all I want to welcome you all back to our school! We are excited about the many changes to the Extended Day Program and I just wanted to take some time and outline them for you.
Most importantly, you must fill out a NEW registration form for the 2011-2012 school year. It should take only five minutes of your time, but has important information we’ll need like your children’s allergy information and your contact phone numbers in case we need to reach you during the Extended Day hours. If you child(ren)’s name is not on the sign out sheet, then we do not have any updated paperwork on your child(ren). Also, please have your photo ID ready to show upon arrival to pick up your child(ren).
All parents are asked to go to the front of the GYM to sign out their child and your child(ren) will be sent to either the Gym, Middle School, or Fish Gate for pick-up, depending on what activity they are doing and where they are on campus at that time. Any late pick-ups (after 6:00) will result in a charge of $6 per child, every 15 minutes.
If someone other than yourself is picking up your child(ren), you must submit that information to the office during the school day (a written request is required). He/she must then present the appropriate photo ID in order for the after-care staff to release any student into their care.
In case of an emergency (or extreme late pick-up) you may reach the Extended Day Program directly at 352-317-4695.
Lastly, I would like to encourage anyone who is willing to donate items for the Extended Day program to please read our 2011 Wish List. It includes just a few odds and ends that shape our program to be the best it can be. The list will be posted here on our website and also at sign-out. There is no need to go out and purchase things; however, if you think you can help us provide for the program we would certainly love your support!
